More accurately, it starts with a bionic leaf.
More than a decade ago, Dr. Dan Nocera, currently the Patterson Rockwood Professor of Energy in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Harvard University, invented a technology that used hydrogen, carbon dioxide and genetically engineered microbes to produce liquid biofuel.
The same basic principles underpinning the bionic leaf paved the way for the technology used at Kula Bio® today. Our team has developed innovative bacterial propagation techniques and feeding systems that supercharge the nitrogen-fixing capabilities of Xanthobacter autotrophicus.
In the future, we will continue to expand our existing technologies into novel methods of maximizing natural, microbial properties for use in agriculture and turf.
